The Korean language institute is an affiliated organization of each university and is a specialized Korean language education organization.
Language schools are operated under a one-year/four-semester system (March semester, June semester, September semester, December semester), and classes are held for 10 weeks each semester (some language institutes are operated under a one-year/six-semester system).
In general, foreigners must have a certain level of Korean language skills to enter Korean universities, and students who lack Korean skills will have to go through language training courses for six months to two years at these language institutes.
